I had found a Supra in Arizona(I live in Cali). It was a 94 TT w/6spd, leather, sport roof, and 90k miles. The guy was asking $19,950 for it and I bargained him down to $18k. Then, I ran a VIN check on the car in which I found a couple problems. First, the VIN check said that there was possible odometer rollback on the car. The guy who had the car explained to me that the person that he bought the car from accidently gave the wrong mileage to the DMV so the assumed that the odometer had been rolled back. However, the guy selling the car now said that the odometer in the Supra can't be rolled back because its digital(is that true?) Next, the car had 3 previous owners and the guy selling the car had not registered the car in Arizona. He claims that he has a wholesale license and that he has 5 cars and that he never drove the car so thats why he never registered it. Next, he said that the car had been giving a repaint job and that it didnt turn out that well. I decided to then walk away from the car. I'm kinda regretting it because I know Supra TT's are a bitch to find(a walked away from a 1-owner 95 Supra TT last week because it was an auto). Basically, do you guys think I did the right thing? I didn't want to pay $18k for a bag of worms. Thanks guys. Rock on, BlueThunderZ
